Sapa - Ha Long

Day 1 : Hanoi – Night Lao Cai 

The evening, you take the overnight train to Lao Cai at 9:10 pm. Night in the train in first class (compartment for 4 people, soft berths, air- conditioned)

Day 2 : Lao Cai – weekly market ( B, L )

Arrival at Lao Cai at 5:00 am where your driver and your guide are waiting for you. After the breakfast, you leave for the weekly market (Coc Ly Tuesday, Cao Son Wednesday, Can Cau Saturday, Bac Ha Sunday). You could meet several ethnic groups: H’mong bariolee, tay, Nung,… The afternoon, you go down the river with a boat et you visit a Tay village.
Then, you are going to Sapa, during the road, you could see wonderful views and picturesque and fertile valleys. Night in Sapa.

Day 3 : Visit of Sapa ( B,L )

After breakfast, your driver lead you to Lao Cai village ( H’Mong noirs), located 6 km from Sapa. After 2h of walking through rice fields and ethnic villages, you arrive at Tavan village (Zay), km from  Sapa. Along the way by meeting some H’mong and Zay families, you should discover inhabitants hopitality and their everyday life but also their warm and welcoming soul.
Picnic lunch. During the afternoon, your driver drive you to Giang Ta Chai Village (red Zdao) where you could walking around. Train to Hanoi at 9h05 pm. Night on board.
 
Jour 4 :  Hanoi - Halong (B, L, D)

Arrival at Hanoi at 5:00 am, visit of city with the flowers market and the flag raising ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum. Departure for Halong Bay. When you arrive at Bai Chay at 12h, your board on our junk. Delicious seafood lunch and free time to rest while the crew will stop the engine to travel full sails. Cruise through Halong bay. Finally, the junk will arrive in the Ong Ca bay at the end of the afternoon, an area free of tourists. The crew prepair the fishing gear. Diner and night aboard.

Jour 5 : Cat ba – Hai  phong (B, L)

Watch the sunrise if the weather makes it possible. After the breakfast, you could discover the beauty of Lan Ha bay with its wild and small beaches, its tunnels and its floating fishing village. Boat-ride to Ca tunnel and discover a hidden lake surrounded by cliffs full of monkeys (endangered species). Then, locals will take you on small boats to show you their village: the floating houses and the fish-tanks below them, the floating school for their children. Stop to the wonderful beaches of Ba Trai Dao for swimming and lunch. Check-out before 10am. Lunch aboard. Disembarkation at Cat Ba to go back to Hanoi.
